Paiam Etminan, 31 year old son of Souri Maranto, and owner of Souri's Italian Bistro
is running for Mount Pleasant Town Council. Raised in Charleston his entire life and a
Wando High School graduate, Paiam has had the opportunity to form friendships with
many local residents and learn what they expect from local government.
Mr Etminan has been in the restaurant industry for over ten years. In that time he
has gained the experience necessary to know what local policiescan help, a well as hinder
the small business owner and its employees. Paiam believes that the key to a successful
business is fiscal responsibility and forward thinking. Mr Etminan wants to bring the basic
principles of smart, effective business decisions to the local government. Paiam has ideas on
how to improve the economic development of the town to insure it has a future of prosperity.
Mr Etminan wants to bring logical, business minded approach to the local government,
that seems to be absent from the state and federal levels. Paiam is described by the people who know him as a hard working, determined individual
that wants to serve the town the best way possible, as well as serve some of the
best Italian food in Mount Pleasant.
